Twas a long day yesterday, several little incidents , ie , Lennie woke up at 12.45 a.m. on the boat, thought he had slept in and managed to get a crew member to get him onto the car deck, where there was no one about - he then realised the time and was 9 hours early !!!
Dutch IPA met us, after a long wait as we were last off the boat, (hundreds of bikers) and led us to a superp motorway cafe where there was a feast waiting for us.
Long run through Holland and Germany, whacky races does not have a look in , we are left standing by cars passing us doing well over 100 mph, and we thought we were doing well sitting at a steady 85/90mph.
Roads are brilliant, well maintained and there are no potholes, unlike Edinburgh's deteriorating streets.
Eventually, after three stops en route, reached Harzbiker at Pension Roseneck, in Bad Lauterberg, where Greg Niven and his beloved Jacquie were waiting with much needed chilled beers.
Changed and round to the local Italian restaurant where some of our group were given a guided tour of the ladies toilets (language problem) however, the meal with, wines and beers was excellent.
Pack at the Pension, beer drinking took place, however, as I retired early, young Thomas found himself locked out - threw stones at the window, knocked doors, even phoned Mrs B in Scotland, before waking up Jacquie to get in. Not my fault if I am a heavy sleeper.
Today, off on a tour with Greg round the Harz Mountains and dams.
